Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) System

Advanced integrated hardware and software system applying Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) as an optical diagnostic technique used for flow visualization and quantitative measurements. PLIF can be used for temperature, concentration, pressure measurements and others.

Standard Components

  • Double pulse PIV Lasers: 2 x 65 mJ/15 Hz, 2 x 70 mJ/15 Hz, 2 x 135 mJ/15 Hz, 2 x 145 mJ/15 Hz 2 x 200mJ/15 Hz, 2 x 380mJ/10 Hz, 2 x 500 mJ/10 Hz, 2 x 1000 mJ/10 Hz
  • CCD Cameras: VGA/800 fps, 1.4MP/30 fps, 2MP/54 fps, 5MP/16 fps, 16MP/25 fps, 8MP/21 fps, 29MP/17 fps
  • PLIF software module
  • Optical filters and beam splitter to separate the induced fluorescent light from the laser light

Applications

  • Measurement of the temperature field
  • Measurement of the concentration field
  • Measurement of the pressure field
  • Hydrodynamic flow display
  • Micro PIV applications
  • Two-phase flow PIV measurement applications
