Flow over sharp cone at Mach 4 was tested with PIV to compare results with CFD and Schlieren visualization. MicroVec 2 PIV system was used in the with 500mJ double puls PIV laser, 11 megapixel Imperx camera with 105mm lense and an Epix frame grabber.
